15 Red Dead Redemption 2 Side Quests That Make Players Rich (And 10 That Aren’t Worth It)

RDR2 takes us back to the year 1899, 34 years after slavery was repealed in the United States of America. The discriminating attitudes still remain of course, and there are those who would have preferred to keep humans as property, but now the law prohibits them from doing

The handful of people who know about this trick right now feel like Gods in this game, and for good reason. Lasso griefers are the worst thing about Red Dead Online . They somehow thinking lassoing you makes them some Joker-like deity that decides who lives, dies, or stays tied up in purgatory in the back of their horses. While you can hit buttons to break free once lassoed, do you know how to keep yourself from ever being lassoed? We do. It’s called a knife, and should be pretty easy to figure out (though very few ha

This place and its rewards teach you the importance of listening to what people at camp have to say. Tilly will tell you that she heard about a secret at the Doctor’s Office in Valentine, and she’s been well-informed. There’s a secret O’Driscoll poker game being held in the back. Point your gun at the doctor after investigating the rear of the building, and he’ll let you in. There’s a fair bit of money to be found here, as well as an awesome

The visual connections stack up when you compare transition scenes with Arthur Morgan having a blurry, dream-like quality that resembles the film’s cinematography from Roger Deakins. Thematically, both Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Assassination of Jesse James focus on a commune of criminals and gang members, led by a charismatic leader who the rest of the gang eventually become disillusioned with. There’s even the same devotion to realism—Dominik’s film attempts to be as authentic in portraying events, dialogue, and action the same way it would happen, with shootouts happening at point blank range with both combatants missing each other. It’s slow, deliberate, and honestly, a bit boring—which is how I felt about Rockstar’s game every time I was told to search a room.

But that wouldn’t go with Dutch Van der Linde’s positions against industrialization, modernization, and technology. Dutch, who I couldn’t help but see and hear as a more handsome Matt Foley from SNL , finds a rival in Leviticus Cornwall, a captain of industry and one of the many banes of Dutch’s existence. He may as well have ended every encounter him by shaking his fist at the sky and screaming „Cornwall!“ in anguish. Using Cornwall as a target, Dutch fashions himself as a man of the people, wanting to go back to a time before „law and order“ and attempting to score cred by helping some local angry indigenous folks. As Arthur Morgan discovers later, this is all part of Dutch’s plan to exploit this tribe’s conflict with the U.S. Army for his own gain.

But there is hope! Some of us here have put in hours upon hours online to try to figure out ways to make the game’s griefers get driven insane, and we found some surprisingly effective methods of achieving just that. Here are five ways to punish the griefers populating the world of Red Dead Redemption online right

Every time the black bars letterboxed the screen during Red Dead Redemption 2 locations Dead Redemption 2 , I knew that the „video game“ portion of this experience was on hold. I couldn’t help but feel frustrated that Rockstar (and the game’s writers) were plopping a movie in front of me instead. It is relatively obvious that Rockstar’s recent games are meant to invoke the feelings of familiar films, but reading and hearing the thoughts from my peers had me realize that many of us—the Housers included—simply have it wrong when analyzing this game’s relationship with the Western film genre.

If you’ve completed the mission „The Joys Of Civilization,“ you can find a Russian scientist by the name of Marko Dragic in the park in Southwest Saint-Denis. After 24 hours pass, you can start the second part of the mission. Head to the very north-east of the map, north of Brandywine Drop. Here you can find the Tesla-style lab, where, among other things, he’s got an electric lantern you can pick up that replaces your old one. He’s also working on a robot, but things are not going w

Geology for Beginners is a stranger mission given to you by the maybe time-traveling Francis Sinclair, who tasks you with finding various rock carvings. Unlike the dreaded dinosaur bones which take forever, this is over in no time at all. After finding just one carving, you are paid $10 (and a bottle of bourbon). And after five, you are given a rock statue which can be sold to a fence for $50. All told, you are given a cool $60 after finding just five rock carvings, which shouldn’t take very long (provided you use a guide.) Plus you get to see all the trippy engravings, so it’s a win-

I consistently struggled in trying to figure out just what Dan Houser and his co-writers were trying to convey throughout the story in Red Dead Redemption 2 . Whenever it appeared that some allegory was being set up, the scenarios would delve into quirkiness and involve stereotyped characters. Without detailing each one, I played three particular Stranger missions that put me off with that exact formula: the ones involving the characters of Margaret, Bertram, and the pair of Mr. Black and Mr. White. This video game, which is presented with the themes of modern Western stories, comes across more like a subpar attempt at subversion. Houser perhaps wants to satirize the caricatures of old Westerns, but ends up creating caricatures of his own. But hey, this is also coming from the same train of thought that replacing „Metlife“ with „Getalife“ in Grand Theft Auto IV was brilliant satire.
